As a Freehouse, The Coastguard’s bar and cellar have a deservedly high reputation. There are regularly changing ales and beers, and Nigel works hard to ensure that the selection works both in its own right and as an accompaniment to the dishes on the menu.

Nigel’s taste in beer and wine is renowned and, being a Scot, he has a natural appreciation for the Dram. Come and try local Kentish ales or beers from further afield including Franconian bottled beer. You can enjoy wines from all over the world or sample one from just up the road.

The bar is open everyday from 11am until 11pm for coffees, snacks and a wide range of soft drinks.
On Christmas Day the bar only will be open from 12pm until 3pm.
